We give you the tools to move better and make life easier and more fun. Our outdoor group sessions are all about community and giving you a unique experience you won’t find at a big box or boutique gym. Our Movements are not overly complex and require minimal equipment to master, and will definitely get you to your goals, whether you want to look and feel stronger or just move better.

WHAT WE DO?

The Base Movement Project (TBMP) offers a variety of Movements Series’ with different focuses and strategies. Here are the descriptions for each series, but the best way to see what each is about it actually trying the ones that appeal to you, and maybe even the ones that may not.

Traditional base movements

Traditional Base Movements (TBM)

We start with the basic movements utilitized in fitness training since the 1970’s, when guys like Arnold made things like the Bench Press and the Squat famous. Using our understanding of the human body, we go over the “Big Lifts” and focus on stability training vs our Active Base Movements, as seen in the next section.

Active base movements

Active Base Movements (ABM)

This is where we take your Traditional Base Movements, and apply a more active movement goal, and recode the body based on the GOATA (Greatest of All Time Athletics) methodology and certifications. These principles are based more on evolutionary and natural movements studied throughout the ages, from indigenous tribes to patterns at young ages to even top athletic strategies (Usain Bolt, for example).

Martial Arts based movements

Martial Arts Based Movements (FBM)

This is where we take concepts from various combat disciplines (Boxing, Kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do and Muay Thai) and create a range of powerful striking combinations that can be performed solo, with focus pads or on heavy bags. As our program is Fitness Based, we do not participate or encourage sparring and hand to hand combat, although we utilize the concepts a fighter would use in preparing for and participating in a live match-up.

Mobility based movements

Mobility Based Movements (BBM)

Based on the concepts of Budokon (also known as Mixed Movement Arts, a concept created by world renowned trainer Cameron Shayne), we combine Ground Combat styles such as Jiu Jitsu with Yoga and Animal Flow to create a more restorative and mobile way to move the body.

Integrated based movements

Integrated Based Movements (XBM)

This is the MMA of TBMP: Where anything goes! We combine all our series’ for an integrated experience (and yes, lots of sweating). Concepts like CrossFit based AMRAP’s and EMOM’s, Tabata and Themed sessions are all available in these movements and sessions.
